We are delighted to announce that the IEEE/Optica Publishing Group Journal of Lightwave Technology (JLT) will provide a unique opportunity for authors to present their expanded research papers from OFS-28 through a special issue. JLT is a prestigious peer-reviewed scientific journal that covers theoretical and experimental works in optical waveguide technologies and their applications, ranging from integrated photonics to optical networks. The journal features articles on diverse topics such as optical components, systems, networks, optical signal processing, and optical fiber sensors. With an impressive impact factor of 4.7 (2022), JLT is widely recognized as a leading publication in the field of optics and photonics.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of both JLT and OFS, with the first issue of JLT published in March 1983, and the first OFS conference held in April 1983. This is an incredible coincidence that adds to the significance of OFS-28 and this special issue.
We invite authors to submit their contributions for possible inclusion in this special issue. Accepted papers will be published in the July/August 2024 hardcopy issue, with the online version available within one week of the author’s final file upload. Please note that original contributions exceeding 7 pages are subject to mandatory page charges of $260.00 per page.
